Despina's kitchen
Despina was born in Thessaloniki, raised in Binghamton, and spent over 20 years cooking every single thing from scratch. Her children Nick, Elpi, and Jimmy grew up working alongside her — it was never just a restaurant, it was a legacy.
Passing the recipes down
When Despina stepped back, she spent two months cooking side by side with Jessie — every recipe and technique passed down by hand, nothing written.
The same food, every day
Today Jessie cooks from scratch every morning and personally runs catering — same gyros, same spanakopita, same Baby Greek salad Despina made famous.
